Rush
What is Rush?
There are two kinds: Open and Formal. - Formal Rush is a week long event that happens once each semester. During this week girls tour the 11 sorority houses on campus and attend parties throughout the week at those houses. With each party ladies (rushees) narrow down their choice and decide which sorority they will best fit into. This week ends with jump. Here all the Greeks gather, and rushies announce which group they have accepted a bid to join.
- Open rush on the other hand is ongoing. At any time of the year a girl may be invited to a house for an open rush party. Through one or two parties the girl may be given a bid to join that group.
