At tonight's meeting a change in the leadership structure of the organization took place. Membership Director Elliot Nelson was formerly approved as the permanant Communications Director replacing Kaylee Norris who's departure left Nelson filling both roles on an interim basis. As our constitution prohibits any one person from holding more than one voting position on the Executive Board at the same time (interims don't vote), we elected a new Membership Director to replace Nelson. Congratulations to the new Membership Director Ricardo White!
On another note, I recently added a bunch of new websites to our links page including all those for all the democratic presidential candidate. Check it out!

On Tuesday, We won Big! Democrats won in the following races:
We also swept all University and Education Board Races this year:
We also won big in key legislative races within the state and across the country with the result that come January the both house of Congress and the State House of Representatives will be under Democratic control with the State Senate remaining in Republican hands by only two seats at most. The spread in the individual bodies before and after the election are as follows:
NOTE: Senator-Elect Bernie Sanders of Vermont has until now been the long-time Representative for Vermont at-large in the U.S. House of Representative where he has always caucused with the Democrats in terms of house control. We have every reason to believe he will do the same in the Senate. Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut ran as an independent in this election because he lost in the democratic primary. He will continue to caucus with the Democrats as he has throughout during his lengthy tenure in the U.S. Senate.
I will post updated numbers for the U.S. House when I learn the results of the Uncontested races. Live it up fellow Democrats, it's been a long time coming, and we've earned it. However, we must not forget that this is a golden opportunity. The people we elected now have the ability to take back our country. But our job is not over. We need to hold them accountable and make sure they do not squander our hard-fought victory.
Your's for the glory of the cause,
