The collegiate teams will be determined by the coaches at their discretion. Any interested parties have to have all appropriate equipment for competition for their desired weapon. Collegiate team fencers will be determined based on skill, dedication, and availability. Fencing on the collegiate teams may require traveling during the school year to predetermined locations for competition and could possibly incorporate paying your own travel expenses. Anyone interested in any open position or competing should contact Nathan Bass.

A Little Club Collegiate Team History!
The Fencing Association at Central Michigan University attended it's first United States of America Collegiate Fencing
Championships in April of 2005. We were persuaded to give it a try from our coach
and academic advisor, Nathan Bass, and since the championship
were in Lansing, MI at Michigan State University, who could argue. There were a total of about 15 of us that attended. We
learned a lot that spring, which we would take with us to Clemson, SC.
Competition was fierce in Clemson, SC at Clemson University. We took 6
squads, we
had 4 complete squads and 2 partial squads. We did better then the year before. Specifically, we did better with our
women's teams and men's foil. Clemson was an exciting trip and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves for the most part, excluding the long bus trip!
This coming year we will be looking to attend Texas for the USACF Championships. We are hoping that we can take a complete
team of 6 full squads this year in April of 2007, and hopefully advance up in the
placing. We have a long journey ahead of us though, with funding the trip. Check back to see how we did!
