How can my RSO get a web space via IT?
Does your organization meet the requirements?
- Your student organization must be registered with CMU's Office of Student Life.*
- Your RSO must have a faculty advisor.*
- The student in charge of the RSO Web site must have a valid CMU email address and Global ID. **
- The student must use Microsoft FrontPage software for publishing the Web site.
- Materials to be published on RSO sub Web must comply with university policy. Materials found in violation of these policies will be removed immediately, as will the organization's Web site. Each RSO is allotted 50 MB of space.
* If your organization is not registered or if you need a faculty advisor for your organization, contact the
Office of Student Life at 774-3016 and/or the Student Organization Center at 774-3822.
** One student, with the approval of the faculty advisor, will be given access to the organization's Web. This student must have a valid CMU email address and an Global ID. If the student in charge does not have an Global ID, contact the Help Desk at 774-3662 to arrange to have one assigned. After the initial Global ID and password are assigned, the student will need to reset his/her password before accessing the RSO Web site for the first time.
