The induction ceremony also marked the completion of officer responsibilities for this year's officers. A big "thank you" goes out to Stephanie White, Kelli McCann, Katie Watson, and Jessica Charon; we owe our success this year to you! Jessica has been accepted into our graduate program in communication for this fall, and has graciously volunteered to serve as our chapter President for the 2007-2008 year. Thanks, Jessica! Good luck to all of our graduates and new inductees, and please keep in touch.

One officer, Stephanie White, has been accepted into CMU's graduate program in Communication, and will continue to serve as an officer in a new role: chapter President. Congratulations, Stephanie! Several new members have also agreed to serve as officers for the 2006-2007 academic year: Kelli McCann will be Vice President, Katie Watson will serve as Secretary, Jessica Charon will be the Treasurer, and Quentin Bishop will serve as Recruiting Director. November, 2005: Annual Report to the National Communication Association
The Nu Sigma chapter of Lambda Pi Eta is off to a strong start this year under the guidance of our newly-elected officers: Pamela Marzolf (President), Jenny Kulchar (Vice President), Stephanie White (Secretary), Danielle Dillon (Treasurer, F2005), Stephanie Kauffman (Treasurer, S2006), and Leslie Donahue (Recruiting Director).
This semester, our chapter is interested in increasing membership in and public knowledge of our chapter. We will engage in active recruitment throughout the semester. We plan to do so by passing out flyers in the communication building, word of mouth, and maintaining our eye-catching and informative bulletin board, visible to all communication students. Last year, we inducted 18 new members into our chapter, and we hope to recruit more this year.
This fall, on October 10, 2005, the Nu Sigma chapter hosted its second annual Interpersonal and Public Communication Major/Minor Night (student informational event). As with the Spring 2005 event, this semester's Major/Minor Night provided an opportunity for faculty and current communication students to offer guidance to students interested in the field of communication. Faculty members were available to discuss academic advising, career advising, debate/forensics, internships, graduate study, and undergraduate teaching positions. In addition, representatives from two student organizations, Communication Association and Lambda Pi Eta, were in attendance to promote membership. We hope to see you at next fall's event!
