Information Regarding OneRepublic Cancellation...

April 29, 2008

To our friends:

Many questions have arisen regarding OneRepublic’s absence from the Crocs Next Step Campus Tour concert April 25 at CMU.

First and foremost, even though it was completely beyond our control, we are sorry for the disappointing turn of events. We understand that many of you are upset and disappointed by what happened. So are we, as the concert was supposed to end the academic year on a high note for everyone.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds due to the extremely low cost of the tickets for this concert and the high cost of processing refunds. However, we are pleased to announce that we will be providing a $5 voucher per ticket purchased for the show; the vouchers can be used toward the purchase of tickets to any On the Fly Productions or CMU Program Board performance during the fall 2008 semester.

• For local individuals, vouchers will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays April 30 through May 7 at the Central Box Office on the lower level of the Bovee University Center. Ticket stub(s) must be presented in order to receive the voucher(s).

• For individuals outside of the Mount Pleasant area, vouchers can be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope (please note that postage will increase to 42 cents on May 12), ticket stub(s) and a note listing the name of the ticket purchaser. Requests must contain sufficient postage, be postmarked by May 13 and be sent to:

At this time, we have no plans to reschedule OneRepublic’s performance, which had to be canceled after lead singer Ryan Tedder tore his Achilles tendon while playing basketball just prior to showtime on Friday.

We thank Fabolous and Headed for Zen for putting on a fantastic show and helping us make the best of a difficult situation. We also wish Ryan a speedy recovery following his surgery, and we hope to see him and OneRepublic back out on the road again soon.

Sincerely,
CMU Program Board and On the Fly Productions
