Rho Delta Recruitment

Continuous Open Bids (COBs)

In addition to formal recruitment, the Rho Delta Chapter also has continuous open bids throughout the year. This means if you did not find the perfect fit during formal recruitment, did not have the time to participate in formal recruitment, or were not previously interested in joining a sorority, you are able to show interest and apply to be initiated. There are themed events planned for throughout the Spring semester and after formal recruitment in the Fall.

Come check us out!!! We would love to see if we are the right fit for you!

If you need a ride to any of these events, call (989)773-5881.

Formal Recruitment

The first and second days are filled with house tours of all the Panhellenic sororities at Central Michigan University. House tours are twenty minutes in length with a ten minute break between each party. Recommended attire for house tours is casual. Jeans are appropriate. The girls do a lot of walking, so comfort is key. The second day concludes with a "Post Office" where the girls eliminate houses from their lists.

The third day is filled with philanthropy events. Philanthropy events are forty minutes long with a fifteen minute break between them. Recommended attire for philanthropy events is a slight step up from casual. It is recommended to leave the jeans at home and head to these events in khakis or similar clothing. It concludes with a "Post Office" where the girls eliminate houses from their lists.

The fourth and fifth days are filled with theme parties. Theme events are one hour long with twenty minutes between them. Recommended attire for these events is dress pants or skirts. The sixth day concludes with a "Post Office" where the girls eliminate houses from their lists.

The sixth day consists of preference ceremonies. Preference ceremonies are a hour and a half long with a twenty-five minute break between them. Recommended for this night is nice skirts, dresses or business suits. This is the dressiest night of the week. This day concludes with a "Post Office" where the girls ranked the remaining houses on their lists.

The seventh day is "Jump". During this event the girls receive their invitations to join a house and are prepared to "jump" into that house as a new member.

Be sure to look for recruitment flyers during the first week of Fall semester for more information on Formal Recruitment. Events such as Mainstage and Meet the Greeks will give you opportunities to learn more before recruitment starts.

Be sure to double check times with Central Michigan University's Greek Life website...
