What's RTNDA?
The
Radio and Television News Directors Association is a national
organization with several student chapters throughout the country aimed at educating students interested in the news
industry. It’s main focus is on networking — creating resources that
students can turn to that might possibly guide them to a future career.
RTNDA at Central Michigan University utilizes the same
aspects as the national organization, only on a local level. Members in
RTNDA have the opportunity to travel to stations with the organization
and meet experienced news professionals, gain crucial advice, and leave
with an impression of what it’s really like in the news industry.
Also, RTNDA invites various news professionals from the
area to come into CMU and talk to the organization on various topics
that will have a huge impact on you — an aspiring news professional.
